BOSTON, Mass. — A winter storm watch has been issued for parts of Massachusetts ahead of another weather system that is expected to dump several inches of snow late Friday night into Saturday.

The storm watch is in effect for Central Middlesex, Eastern Franklin, Eastern Hampshire, Northern Worcester, Northwest Middlesex, Western Essex, Western Franklin, Western Hampden, and Western Hampshire counties from 7 p.m. Friday through 7 p.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

The Boston 25 Weather team has issued an early alert for an impact storm that could up to a foot of snow to parts of Massachusetts late Friday night into Saturday.
