How do I open the SafePaw 35 lb pail?

Remove the tamper-evident strip first. Locate the notches around the lid, loosen the lid gradually around the rim, and lift it evenly. If it remains tight, use a flathead screwdriver carefully at the designated notches.

What should I do if the pail lid will not come off?

Confirm that the tamper-evident strip has been removed completely. Then work around the lid one section at a time instead of forcing a single point. Check that ice, dirt, or damaged plastic is not preventing the lid from releasing.

How do I reseal the SafePaw pail?

Align the lid with the rim and press firmly around the entire circumference. Check that the lid is level and that no section remains raised.

How should SafePaw be stored after opening?

Close the jug top or reseal the pail after every use. Store the container upright in a dry location and keep moisture, snow, and standing water away from the lid and opening.

Why have the granules in my pail hardened or clumped?

Granular material can clump when moisture enters the container. Check whether the lid was completely sealed or whether the container was exposed to humidity or water.

Can clumped material still be used?

First inspect the container and current product instructions. If the material has only absorbed moisture and there is no contamination or container damage, separate loose clumps carefully and keep the remaining material in a clean, dry, tightly closed container.

Is the product in the jug different from the product in the pail?

According to the current SafePaw FAQ, the product is the same in the 8 lb jug and 35 lb pail; the principal difference is the container size. Verify the current labels if packaging or product specifications change.
