In this update we extend the risk zone eastward through portions of VA, DE, and MD and northward in MO and IL. With this expansion, the impact zone now includes Washington D.C., Baltimore, MD, and Richmond, VA as risks for disruptions to transportation/logistics and business operations have increased in these areas. Elsewhere, the highest snowfall totals of 3-6” with locally higher amounts still look to fall in southern MO (including St Louis) and the higher terrain in VA. 2-4” of snow is expected across the remainder of the Watchtower Alert zone. Moderate disruptions to transportation/logistics and business operations are likely; the impacts are discussed below.

Impacted Major Highways within the risk zone:
Major interstates within the risk zone that will be impacted include: I-95 in MD and VA, I-70 from MO to OH, I-44 and I-55 in MO, I-75 in KY, I-81 in VA and TN, and I-65 in KY.

Business Operations, Loading/Unloading Freight, and Intermodal Ramp Operations
Moderate impacts to business operations are likely as workers may have difficulty getting to work.

St Louis, MO, Indianapolis, IN, Louisville, KY, Cincinnati, OH, Columbus, OH, Nashville, TN, Charleston, WV, and Roanoke, VA, Washington D.C., Baltimore, MD, and Richmond, VA.
