A weak to moderate winter storm will produce a mixture of snow, sleet, and freezing rain across the Midwest and Great Lakes during the middle of this week. This storm system is not nearly as widespread nor severe as the storm over the past weekend. It will, though, produce snow, sleet, and ice at levels that will cause some disruptions to travel and business operations. Within this zone, snow accumulations of 3-7 inches are expected while some freezing rain and sleet could mix in along the southern boundary of the zone.
We do not recommend preparatory action at this time.

Major interstates within the risk zone that will be impacted to some degree include: I-96, I-94, I-80, I-75, I-69, I-43, I-41, I-39,I-35
Business Operations, Loading/Unloading Freight, and Intermodal Ramp Operations
Minor to moderate impacts to business operations are likely as workers will not be able to make it to work. Further, loading/unloading of freight and intermodal ramp operations are likely to feature operational impacts due to heavy snow and wind.
